I just finished playing chess with somebody in Dakar, Senegal in Africa. I never heard of the place so I looked it up.
My opponent speaks French. He wrote about chess in his Lichess.org Profile:
"J'aime la simplicite des regles et la complexite et beaute que certaines parties peuvent atteindre."
Google Translate: "I like the simplicity of the rules and the complexity and beauty that some parts can achieve."
It's a beautiful and interesting city with nice Atlantic Ocean beaches.

"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
