Human Ape writes:
"Poll: Should teachers in Tennessee be able to discuss weaknesses in evolution?"
The question in the poll is stupid and it was obviously written by a know-nothing Christian moron.
There are ZERO weaknesses in evolution. Since there are millions of species there will forever be research opportunities in evolutionary biology but these points for future understanding are not weaknesses. Pretending evolution has weaknesses is as stupid as saying our planet's orbit around the sun has weaknesses. Reality does not have weaknesses. Evolution is how the world works.
An honest poll question would be "Should incompetent biology teachers be fired or should they be allowed to lie to their students about science."
"There is probably no other notion in any field of science that has been as extensively tested and as thoroughly corroborated as the evolutionary origin of living organisms."
-- Encyclopedia Britannica
It's not fair to students who want to learn something to let drooling morons waste precious classroom time talking about childish idiotic religious fantasies like magical intelligent design creationism, and imaginary weaknesses in the strongest basic fact of science, evolution.
Evolution is how the world works. If that makes you cowardly Christian imbeciles cry, that's your problem. You have no right to tell biology teachers how to do their jobs because you're just plain stupid.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne
