I asked a question about gullible Christian fucktards. One answer was excellent.

The Bible was written by ancient people who were making stuff up. Why is this so difficult for Christians to understand?

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

You have to remember that the overwhelmingly vast majority of them had the bible presented to them as a 'sacred text' (one that should not be questioned) when they were too young to think critically about what they were being told.

Many never question why it is that an all-powerful 'God' would need to rely on people thousands of years ago to write down what would ostensibly the most important message that 'He' had for 'His Creation' in languages that 'He' *knew* would die out, requiring intercessors to translate/interpret them for modern readers.

Or why interspersed between messages for 'His Creation' he would have allowed them put objectively incorrect, misleading, or otherwise demonstrably false information - like Pi being equal to 3, the earth forming before the sun (not to mention light), the moon being a 'lesser light', mustard seeds being the smallest seeds (or that they grow into trees), etc. etc.

It's also interesting that there isn't one word about the germ theory of disease anywhere in it.
