Because they don't wish to face the actual past and it's rather ghastly realities. Manifest Destiny, for one. You can also look at the history of Utah and the Mormons. Mountain Meadows Massacre, for one. Trail of Tears. Slavery. The treatment of Asians. You can go look up the Hells Canyon Massacre, where 30 plus Chinese miners were slaughtered, and the killers, who were known, got off virtually scot-free. That's in Oregon. You know, 'liberal heaven'? Yeah.

Also, in America, the Tulsa Riots. The history of boarding schools for Native American children, who were stripped of their culture, language and families by 'good' Christians, and often forcibly kept in near or actual slavery. See Mormons for this one, too. That's up until recently.

You'll see people on here trying to say America was established as a Christian nation. Um, no. No. That speaks to justifying and whitewashing and reworking history. By Christians for those Christians that rework history group of Christians approve of.

Plus they don't wish to lose their power and privilege, while crying and screaming all over global media what victims they are or how they're the 'real' victims here.
