Two answers other people wrote to the question "Why did you throw out Christianity?"

It took a solid decade of my adult life (30yr to 40yr). In the beginning, I was arrogant enough to try to find the perfectly logical, rational, reasonable argument to get the atheists to shut up. Over that time span, I slowly realized that the argument didn't exist and the atheists made more sense.

It's always prudent to throw out the garbage when it starts stinking.

I studied the Bible in detail and discovered that the gospel writers deceptively manufactured so-called messianic prophecies that never existed before. They even made up events in Jesus' life to fit OT scriptures that never claimed to be prophetic. Anyone with a clear mind can see that the Bible is a manmade work of fiction.
