Chicago
Please stop calling these crimes "gun violence." It is gang violence. Almost every Black-on-Black shooting on Chicago's South and West Sides is the result of gang warfare that has permeated large segregated areas of the city for decades. It's also unfair to think of the "No Snitch" rule as something new due to police brutality. Gangs have always had the No Snitch rule in place for their members, and Black people living in the South and West Sides live in fear of going against gang members in the courts or working with the police. Chicago gangs have an amazingly loyal and deep network that extends to innocent family members who know all too well what happens when they speak to police as a witness. This has gone on since the early 1990s.

My two cents:
One reason for this violence is the schools. The teachers belong to a union so they can't be fired even though they are incompetent. The students learn nothing.
"Teachers unions promote a strict pay scale that rewards any teacher for years taught—be they exceptional or mediocre or lousy—incentivizing longevity, not performance. They also make it nearly impossible to fire teachers, taking up to two years and $200,000 according to Stanford Professor Terry Moe."
Wikipedia: "A charter school is a school that receives government funding but operates independently of the established state school system in which it is located. It is independent in the sense that it operates according to the basic principle of autonomy for accountability, that it is freed from the rules but accountable for results."
Why not replace the disgusting teacher union schools with charter schools so students can actually learn something? The problem is the liberals (aka Democrats) depend on tons of money from the union schools. So when African Americans vote for the Democrats, they are voting for stupid fucking assholes who don't care if black students learn nothing.
Trump, if he wasn't a fucking moron, could use these facts to help fix the problem.
