A history of the human ape species.
Somebody else wrote this. I'm not sure it's accurate.
"Cave paintings go back 50,000 years. Defleshing large game with sharpened stones and percussion tools goes back 3.5 million years. The human record stretches far back into prehistory - blurring the lines that define the actual transition into humanity."
This is probably more accurate:
Hominids may have been cutting-edge tool makers 2.6 million years ago
