A basic fact of reality: It's impossible for a dead person to go anywhere because the decomposing corpse is dead. Also, it's impossible to torture a dead person because it's dead.

Charles Darwin showed why the development of new species was a completely natural process, no fairies required. So there's no reason to pretend a fairy was necessary for anything else.
