Somebody else wrote this comment about the most recent atrocity in Afghanistan. I think it was well done, especially the last sentence.

What a cheap and effective delivery device, a human being willing to commit suicide to deliver explosives to a target. The Japanese figured out as much during WWII, turning ordinary airplanes into guided missiles.

There's little can be done to prevent it. Just sweep the shards of glass into "'tidy piles" after the dust settles and the smoke clears.

I don't understand why anyone would agree to it. But then there's a lot about my own species I just don't get.
