A Bangladeshi man tried to set off an explosive device he was wearing Monday morning near one of New York City’s busiest transit hubs, the Port Authority Bus Terminal near Times Square, according to a law-enforcement official.
Authorities said they have the suspect in custody, and he is injured. There were no fatalities. A spokesman from the Fire Department of New York said there were four people injured in the incident; three have non-life-threatening injuries and one is wounded. All were taken to area hospitals.
