Idiot America is infested with millions of stupid assholes who believe all creatures were magically created out of nothing 6,000 years ago. And I can't stress the words "stupid" and "assholes" strongly enough.

For people from normal countries, I'm not joking, America really does have millions of science-denying lunatics.

The best answer to my question was written by somebody with the internet name The Eye. It's one of the best explanations for the Christian disease I have ever seen. Here it is:

what choice do they have?

what weapon do they have against Science and logic other than "it's not the bible so it's wrong"?

look at everything WE have? we have logic and technology, a mapped time-line oof events and data points for every event, we can look back and prove that Cesar was, That Cleopatra was, That it took Alexander the Great to march an army across a desert in two weeks that took a religious figure 40 years to do...

we have the benefit of the collective brilliance of all human scientific, social, philosophical, biological, geographical, economical, artistic and culinary invention... they have a book.

they are hilariously outgunned and reaching for whatever thread they can grasp just to hold on. in the end all they have left is pig-headed stubborn-ness and an old, battered, shameful little book that tells them how to treat their slaves and stone their children...

they will deny everything. if it threatened the integrity of their faith they would deny the sky being blue.
