"response I wrote to a theistic evolutionist who insisted that I had to be more acquainted with the arguments of the evolutionists before I could reject evolution"
Your theistic evolutionist is a fool. There is nothing theistic about evolutionary biology or any other branch of science. Scientists don't invoke supernatural magic for anything.
You shouldn't use the word "evolutionists". They are called "biologists". If they're not scientists they are called "normal people".
What biologists offer is not "arguments". What they have is called "evidence" and they have tons of it for evolution. Biologists correctly compare evolution deniers to flat-earthers. It's impossible to be scientifically literate and deny evolution.
If you don't mind making Jeebus cry, try reading "Why Evolution is True" by Jerry Coyne, a University of Chicago biology professor. If this easy to understand book doesn't convince you, then there is no hope for you.
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne

The same wacko as the last post. He's as god-soaked as a subhuman can get. I could make better use of my time talking to a dog.
I left the following comment at Why I Feel that I don’t Need to Sit under Darwin.
