Mr. Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean P. Conley, said on Monday that the president would return to the White House after having spent three nights at the Walter Reed medical center, although he was not “out of the woods yet” in his fight against Covid-19. His remarks came after Mr. Trump tweeted that he would be returning to the White House, which has a medical suite of its own. In doing so, as he has throughout the pandemic, he downplayed the seriousness of a virus that has killed more than 209,000 people in the United States, writing in his post, “Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life.” |
