On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin
This blog has 39 posts about the man who killed god at darwinkilledgod.blogspot.com/search/label/Charles%20Darwin
"Darwin was the first to use data from nature to convince people that evolution is true, and his idea of natural selection was truly novel. It testifies to his genius that the concept of natural theology, accepted by most educated Westerners before 1859, was vanquished within only a few years by a single five-hundred-page book. On the Origin of Species turned the mysteries of life's diversity from mythology into genuine science." -- Jerry Coyne

Why is Christianity and Islam so evil?
The question "Why is Christianity and Islam so evil?" was asked at Yahoo Answers. This was my reply:
"Why is Christianity and Islam so evil?"
Books could be written to answer your question. I will just write about their worst evil, the evil that keeps these disgusting cults from going extinct.
It's called religious indoctrination but it should be called child abuse. Christian scum and Muslim scum know their fantasies are too ridiculous for any adult to take seriously. So the brainwashing begins at the earliest possible age. The breathtaking stupidity is repeated thousands of times. They drill it into their gullible minds until the young victims have permanent brain damage.
My contempt for these child abusers (every Christian idiot and Muslim idiot in the world) is complete. They all belong in prison for ruining the lives of innocent children.

There is at least one suicide bombing every day. Why is it always a Muslim? Is there something about Islam that makes people want to blow themselves up in crowds?
I asked this question at Yahoo Answers. An ex-Muslim answered it. His answer was excellent. Here it is.
muslimah's answer is very accurate, I'd just like to reconfirm that islam carries with it a strong culture of encouraging martyrdom.
Those who die for the cause of Islam are supposedly given the highest ranks in heaven, and get more "heavenly benefits" than others. In Islam, there is not just hell and heaven: heaven and hell are separated into ranks depending on how good/bad you were in life. The highest ranks are given to prophets (e.g. Muhammed) and martyrs. The Quran is littered with references and warnings reminding you to work hard and make sure you get into the best rank, since there is no going back once you die.
Therefore, this sort of teaching brings forth the mentality that since heaven is eternal and you can never go back and change it, you have to use every opportunity to score as many points as you can. (This, incidentally, leads to a very high rate of anxiety and obsessive patterns in muslims, and OCD is unfortunately very common amongst muslims.)
Also, it means that if you have an opportunity to become a "martyr" you should logically take it.
Now, this is where things get particularly ugly because there are always people who are either corrupt or extremist, and they use "martyrdom" as an tool to convince muslims to do things that most sensible people would refuse to do.
For example, in the Iran-Iraq war, young boys as young as 14 years old were recruited by the thousand in the Iranian army. They were told that this is a holy war, and therefore dying in this war gives you eternal heaven. So teenagers dropped out of high school to volunteer for the army. They were often guided over minefields --- they were asked to clear minefields by simply walking over the mines and killing themselves. 40,000 young people died this way in 1 night just to clear a path to 1 city.
The same ideas work for suicide bombers. In fact, in the native language they are not called suicide bombers, they are called "martydom-seekers".
So, in summary, Islam inflicts upon its followers a number of mindsets which make them easy to manipulate into doing stupid things.
Unfortunately, Islam also comes with a number of safeguards to prevent common sense from taking over. For example, muslims are taught from a very young age that they are not allowed to question islam or even think about the idea that the teachings of slam are not God's word. I was told that you're not allowed to even listen to somebody questioning Islam. So it kind of traps you within a number of mindsets that disallow most people from seeing beyond. It takes a lot of willpower and courage to go against all of that and start to think freely -- it took me years to finally break free from it.

I grew up in the middle east in a muslim family, and managed, over time, to free myself from the teachings of Islam and understand that it's all wrong. Unfortunately, that means I can never go back home.

Not everyone has received the memo but Christianity is already dead.
Evolution killed the Christian Death Cult. Christians know it. Their solution is to deny the whole thing or pollute evolution with "Jeebus invented, used, or guided evolution". Their problem is evolution is fact and evolution is a completely natural process. Evolution doesn't need the magic jeebus man, and the human race doesn't need Christianity or any other cult.
Fuck off google.
Google is going to kill the iGoogle homepage later this year. Apparently they think screwing a few million customers is a good idea. They offer Chrome as an alternative. To get that I would have to buy a new computer.
Alternatives to iGoogle, they all suck:

All of Christianity completely depends on the most ridiculous, most disgusting, and most insane fantasy of the Christian death cult, the resurrection of a stinking corpse.
At Yahoo Answers I asked "Can a Christian not believe in the magical resurrection of Mr. Christ and still be a Christian?"
There were 22 answers and virtually all the Christians agreed the resurrection of the magic jeebus man is a required belief. If you don't believe this bullshit you're not a Christian.
A typical answer: "You mean to not believe in the most basic tenant of the religion yet still be considered a member of the religion? No."
One Christian said the resurrection of the dead jeebus was not magical. My reply: "The preacher man was dead and decomposing for three days. His stinking corse was infested with maggots. Then he rose from the dead. That is one heck of a magic trick."
How much longer can a religion survive if it depends on idiots willing to believe any bullshit no matter how ludicrous it is?
People don't rise from the dead even if they are related to an imaginary god. Zombie movies are interesting but zombies are not real. This is basic biology.
If only I had a time machine to go into the future to watch the last Christian imbecile carried away to an insane asylum in a straitjacket.

Agnostics are part of the problem.
They say "we can't be sure magic is not real." The terrorists and the bible thumpers love the agnostics.
Agnostics, magic is not real. Period. Please grow up.

The evolution denying business is pathetic and disgusting but there is an upside.
Evolution deniers don't understand the evidence. It's partly because they're not able to understand but mostly their problem is they don't even try to understand. They just without thinking go running to their favorite liars and then copy and paste dishonest bullshit. They don't even bother to understand the creationist nonsense they are copying and pasting.
The evolution denying business is pathetic and disgusting but there is an upside. The reason they are afraid of evolution is their religion. They know if evolution is true then all their religious fantasies are false. This is a good thing. It means all that's necessary to eradicate religious insanity from this world is to teach evolution and teach it competently.

A question for evolution deniers
Creationists, did you know understanding evidence for evolution is a lot more interesting than denying it?
Creationists, I asked you this question because I'm trying to help you. You are not only failing to understand the most important fact of science, you are also missing out on how interesting and exciting evolution can be. I don't think you creationists have any idea what you're missing.
"The religious imagination is paltry and petty compared to the awesome reality."

What is most interesting is when biologists make predictions which must be true or else there's a serious problem with evolution. Biologists are constantly testing evolution this way. If they ever test evolution and it's shown to be a problem for evolution they would become famous for making this discovery.
Many creationists have the idea that biologists cover up any problems with evolution. That is just plain wrong. Any biologist who found something wrong with evolution would win instant fame. From the National Academy of Sciences: "If there were serious problems in evolutionary science, many scientists would be eager to win fame by being the first to provide a better testable alternative. That there are no viable alternatives to evolution in the scientific literature is not because of vested interests or censorship but because evolution has been and continues to be solidly supported by evidence."
Always, so far, every prediction made about evolution has been correct. Evolution has passed every test.
Understanding why evolution always passes these tests is many more times interesting than just denying the whole thing without bothering to understand anything. Many of you creationists don't even understand the dishonest nonsense you love to copy and paste.
Here is an excellent example of predictions biologists made to test evolution: Human Chromosome Two. I have seen what the professional liars for the magic jeebus man have written about this evidence for evolution so don't bother to provide a link or copy and paste it. Any knowledgeable person would immediately know the liars don't even know what they're talking about.
This is the creationist problem. They make no effort to understand the evidence. They just automatically and without thinking, copy and paste the professional liar's nonsense.
I am asking you creationists to at least try to understand because you just might realize "Hey, this stuff is interesting."
The great geneticist Theodosius Dobzhansky wrote in 1973, "Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution." The more you study evolution the more you will agree with his famous quote.
When the complete genome of both humans and chimpanzees became available for biologists to compare DNA sequences of these two ape species, they noticed something very interesting. The human apes have 23 pairs of chromosomes, but the chimpanzee apes have 24 pairs. So biologists made two predictions. People must have a chromosome that is a fusion of two chromosomes, and there must be two chromosomes in chimps that match the fused chromosome in humans.
If these predictions turned out to be false, biologists would have to throw out 150 years of scientific progress and praise Jeebus.
Of course the predictions were correct, spectacularly correct, perfectly correct in every possible extreme detail. Evolution passed the test. We share an ancestor with chimps.
If you're interested in this evidence for evolution which Brown University biologist Ken Miller said is "lead-pipe evidence" please see Human chromosome 2 and chimpanzee chromosomes 2p & 2q.
"So the case is closed in a most beautiful way, and that is, the prediction of evolution of common ancestry is fulfilled by that lead-pipe evidence that you see here in terms of tying everything together, that our chromosome formed by the fusion from our common ancestor is Chromosome Number 2. Evolution has made a testable prediction and has passed."
